Everyday MakeUp Routine/Bag

Hello everyone!

Due to not having much time in the morning I tend to stick to a very similar makeup look each day. Today I thought I would give you a little insight into my makeup bag (I don't actually store my makeup in here but for the purpose of this post lets pretend I do).

Foundation - Collection Illuminating Touch : Shade 1 Porcelain
This foundation is a perfect match to my skin tone and blends in really nicely. Its quite long lasting and I haven't noticed it going orange as it wears off.

Concealer - Collection Lasting Perfection : Shade 1 Fair
The one that everyone loves! This is the best concealer that I have tried as it has good coverage, its long lasting and really affordable as it is only just over £4

Powder - Miss Sporty So Matte : Shade 001 Light
If you want a mattifying powder then you have to try this out. It honestly keeps you face matte for almost the whole day. Another plus is that it is only £1.99.

Blush - ELF Studio Blush : Shade Mellow Mauve
This is such a gorgeous natural blush for everyday. The colour is like a brown toned pink shade with a blue toned glitter (this doesn't show up on the cheeks).

Eyeshadow - Collection Eyes Uncovered Palette : Shade Nude
I love using this to create really natural nude eye looks which are perfect for everyday wear. My favourite shades from the collection palette are Buttercream and Chocolate Milk.

Lip Liner - Essence Lip Liner : Shade 12 Wish Me A Rose & 06 Satin Mauve
These are very affordable lip liners which you can find a Wilko for £1 each. They are both pretty good matches for my two favourite lipsticks.

Lip Sticks - ELF Mineral Lipstick : Shade Beautiful Berry
                 - MAC Cremesheen : Shade Sunny Seoul
These are very different shade but I think they both suit me really well. The ELF will probably be used less as it gets closer to summer it is not really a good shade to wear.

Lip Gloss - Tanya Burr Lip Gloss : Shade Afternoon Tea
I love the formula of all the Tanya Burr lip glosses but this shade is the one I am currently loving. It is such a natural nude shade which is super good for everyday where.

That is everything that I wear makeup wise everyday. Hope you all enjoyed this post!!

Life Hacks

Hello everyone!

Today I have some life hacks to share with you that could help make your life a little easier.

1. Use wallpaper samples as backgrounds for pictures
If you are a blogger, you will know the struggle of finding a good backgrounds for pictures but I have the solution. When you are in a DIY store (like B&Q or Homebase), they have sample rolls for all the their wallpapers which you get take for free. This means that you can get cheap backgrounds that look good in pictures.

2. Use elastic bands or hair bobbles to help open nail varnishes
If you are struggle to open a nail varnish bottle then wrap an elastic band around the lid to make it easier to grip onto and open the bottle.

3. Use sticky dots to organise flash cards
I have used this on my science flash cards by having a different colour for each unit we have done. This means that when you come to revise it is easy for you to find the right cards.

4. Use to-do lists as a visual representation of what you have done
I find that knowing what have achieved so far that day gives me the motivation to carry on being productive. I printed off some that are meant for planners that I can stick in my diary so that I can look back and see what I have achieved.

5. Use cardboard boxes as organisers in drawers
Although I do have a few shop brought organisers most of my separators are just cardboard boxes. Some ideas of what you can organiser with them are:
-shoeboxes to keep bras organised
-small boxes to hold makeup products
-gift boxes to hold things you want to display as they look nice

6. Keep your wardrobe/clothes organised
To make it easier to find clothes when you are getting dressed in the morning keep you wardrobe organised. I only have a hanging rail in my wardrobe so I have my clothes in a grouped order. So I have my onesies, long sleeve pj tops (as they take up a lot of room in my drawers), school uniform, short sleeves tops, long sleeve tops, scarves, playsuits/dresses/dungarees, skirts, hoodies and then sweaters to keep it organised. I also like to keep my drawers really organised as well.

7. Wash your makeup brushes using baby shampoo
It is important to wash your brushes regularly to prevent bacteria building up within theme. Instead of going out and buying a proper expensive cleaner just use baby shampoo.

8. Put conditioner on your legs after shaving them to make them super soft
So that is all the life hacks I have for you today but if you would like to see more leave me a comment down below.

Thanks for all your support recently!!!

Empties - Hits & Misses

Hello everyone!

Over the past few weeks I have started to finish up quite a few products. Most of these products are completely empty but a few of the other almost are. I am still going to include these because it will bulk the post out a little bit.

Harmony Firm Hold Hairspray
This is my second can of this as they last so long. I love this hairspray so much as it holds your hair in place all day and doesn't really have a smell to it like some do. Also you can really feel it in your
hair. The price is only £2 from most supermarkets so is really affordable.

Primark Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes
Primark do the cheapest wipes as they are only £1 for 2 packs. I mainly use these to clean makeup from the back of my hand or surface and foundation of my lips when doing my makeup. I definitely recommend these as you could use them on your face as well. They do several types so you are bound to find some suited to your skin. I have also seen eye makeup remover ones and deodorising ones which I may try as well.

Carex Strawberry Laces Hand Gel
This hand gel smells so nice, although not really like strawberry laces I would say. I believe that they are only about £1 so definitely not expensive and easy to take
around with you. Its also super refreshing on your hands so it good on a hot day.

Simple Eye Make-up Remover
This works well for me as I only wear a little bit of eye makeup but it may not work as well if you wear a lot. It is really gentle on your eyes so if you have sensitive skin this will work well. Simple always have offers going on so have a look out for that to get a bit of a discount.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation
This foundation is actually amazing. The shade match is perfect for my skin. The texture of this is so
smooth and blends out so easily. I found it at B&M for £3.99 which is a really good bargain as I think it is normally about £7.99.

Maybelline SuperStay Concealer
I found this in Tesco's on offer for only £2.99. The applicator is quite rounded which makes it really easier to conceal spots and
blemishes. The shade is actually number 2 but is the perfect match. It gives a reasonably high coverage but can take a while (in comparison to other concealers) to blend out.

MUA Hide & Conceal
At only £1 this concealer is a bargain. The shade is perfect and it offers a light coverage which is what I expected from the price. I
like to use this one when topping up my makeup throughout the day. The only downside to this one is it is a bit difficult to blend out.

That is everything that I have finished up recently. Hope you enjoyed this post!

ELF Haul

Hello everyone!
Today I have decided to do a ELF cosmetics haul. I actually ordered this stuff back in December, however this actually allows me to give a short review on the products I have began using.
ELF is an American based brand that selling all kinds of makeup and skincare products. A few months ago they shut down the UK store but I guess there was a lot of demand for it, as it came back!! My package took just under 2 weeks to come which I think is pretty good considering that it came from the US. Nothing was broken when I received it so overall I think it was pretty good.
When I placed my order they were running 2 offers: free delivery and a free product package when you spend a certain amount. Delivery to the UK is normally £2.95 or free over £25. There is normally some kind of deal on but some are better than others.
The Products:
IMG_1068The first thing I picked up was a pack of pencil sharpeners (how exciting!). I brought this because I needed a big-holed one to sharpen eyeshadow sticks. I didn't actually realise that the single one came with pack but they are always handy to have for eyeliners.

IMG_1070

Next I picked up this 'bronzer kit' although I would class it more a contour kit, as it has 2 bronzer shade, a more pinky toned blush shade and a matte-ish highlighter colour. It is quite compact which makes it really handy for traveling. I love how the packaging is so sleek with the matte black. This is in the shade 'warm' but I believe there is at least one darker shade available.

IMG_1069I also picked up corrective concealer palette which has two shade of skin tone colour and then two colour correcting ones. The green shade is good for concealing dark under circles and the pink shade works well for sorting out redness. I really like the texture of these concealers as they are really creamy which means they blend out really easily. I honestly need to find something like this that is easier to access as some of the shades have already hit pan.

IMG_1071I decided to try one of their blush and bronzer duo's as I have heard a lot of people say that they are good dupes for the Nars ones (which is a bit out of my price bracket). The one I picked up is in the shade 'St. Lucia'. Both products have a soft texture and work well on the kin. The blush is a really nice natural pink colour and the bronzer is a really nice one for contouring.

The freebies!
When I made my order they were running an offer that you would get bundle of 6 products when you spent over £15 (which is the main reason why I ordered at this point). The products that were included things for your whole face, apart from a base.

The first product I received was actually  brush (which silly me forgot to take a picture of). It was a tapered blush brush which is really nice for highlighter as it fit perfectly on my cheekbones.
IMG_1072Next, they included a blush in the shade 'mellow mauve'. It is a kind of dusky pink shade with quite brown undertones which means it is a really natural flush. This has actually been the product that I have used almost daily since it arrived.

IMG_1073

I also received one of their baked eyeshadows in the shade 'toasted'. It is a really pretty bronze colour, which are my favourite shades to wear as they are so versatile. However, I do find that you have to press quite hard to get much colour pigment.

IMG_1083Next I got the '3-in-1 Mascara'. It promises to lengthen, volumise and define. I do find that when I have used it, it is good at lengthening and define but not as good at giving volume. The wand is a really different shape to normal wands you tend to see but I do find the ball on the end can add to much to the inner corner of your eye.
IMG_1077

The final eye product I got was a liquid eyeliner. I don't really wear eyeliner too much as I struggle to get it on right. However, I have tried this out a few times and it is so so easy to apply. The line is a really fine, opaque black line so seems like a good one to me.

IMG_1074The final product I picked up was one of there mineral lipsticks in the shade 'beautiful berry'. When I first saw this on the preview image I was a little bit concerned about the colour not suiting me. But I was totally wrong, I absolutely love the colour and think it is perfect for the autumn and winter months.

That is everything that I picked up recently from ELF. Its kind of hard to believe that all of that was only just over £15. I hope you have enjoyed this post and don't forget to leave a comment down below with some post ideas that you would like to see in the near future.

Soap & Glory Soaper Star Set Review

Hello everyone!!

As the title suggests I am going to be talking about and reviewing some of the Soap & Glory products.
I hadn't actually tried anything from Soap & Glory until a couple of weeks ago but I must admit that I have completely fallen in love.

SOAPER STAR GIFT SET (Link )
This was the biggest set that I picked out and I am so so impressed with it. This set retails for £20 which is such good value for all the products that come inside. I believe all of the products are in the orginal pink set.
The set includes:
-the cosiest fluffy socks
-a loafer
-a 50ml hand food hand cream
-a 50ml heel genius foot cream
-500ml clean on me moisturizing shower cream
-a 200ml scrub of you life body buffer/scrub
-a 200ml righteous butter body butter

Hand Food
This one is one of their 'handbag heroes' sizes but it is a perfect size. You need the tiniest amount as it is so moisturizing. Hand cream is something that I like the idea of and when I use it I love it. Hand food sinks in super good which I think definitely make it a excellent hand cream.
Heel Genius
Again this is one of the handbag sized products. As you may have guessed is a foot/heel cream. I'm not sure whether it is supposed to be the original pink scent but it smells slightly different. Its also blue!! The product itself does work quite well but I reckon to completely get rid of dry, cracked heels you would need to apply it consistently for several days. It is also one that you don't have to apply over night as it sinks in rather quickly.

Clean On Me
This is a super creamy, moisturizing shower gel. It can be used with a moisturizer/body lotion or without as it is quite moisturizing. I really like that it has a pump dispenser as it makes it easier to get out when in the shower. (anyone have those moment when you have shower gel in your hand and you have to tried and use one hand to put the lid on) You only need a tiny bit each time as it foam up really nicely, so the big bottle will last me for ages.

Scrub Of Your Life
If you didn't guess from the name, this is a body scrub. The granules (couldn't think of another word) in this scrub are like the perfect size to exfoliate your skin without taking half of it off. The scent is orginal pink so smells exactly the same as the other products. I never really had an exfoliator but since using this one my skin has been so much softer.

Righteous Butter
This is a really good sized product but not the deluxe size. Body butters are something I will use to moisturise when I get out of the shower. This has fit really nicely into my new shower routine (possible post so leave a comment if you would like to see it) and has left my skin feeling super soft after using it.

So that is everything for today's post. I hope you have enjoyed my first post (kind of) and I am going to try really hard to keep it up again.

Love you all lots
xxxxx
